Abeni — a Yoruba name: "we asked for her, and she is ours".

A small woven drum, coiled flat at the base and left open at the top, hung from a length of undyed raffia so the cord reads natural against the dyed basket. These hand-woven raffia statement earrings swing a little as you move and weigh almost nothing, finished with hypoallergenic stainless steel ear wires for all-day wear.

Care

Keep dry. Raffia is a plant fibre — water, perfume and hairspray will dull the colour. Store flat or hanging, not crushed at the bottom of a bag. If a piece flattens, press it gently back into shape with your fingers; the fibre has memory.

Coiled by hand, so no two drums sit exactly the same.

All pieces are cut for a relaxed fit. Our model wears a size M and stands 5’7”.

Adire is hand-dyed cotton. It softens with wear and may relax slightly after the first washes.

Hand-wash cold with mild soap. No tumble-dry. Iron inside-out on medium heat. Expect slight dye release during the first washes, a natural characteristic of hand-dyed textiles that stabilizes with use.

Orders are processed within 2–3 business days. We ship across Canada and worldwide. Delivery times vary by destination and carrier. International orders may be subject to customs fees and duties, payable by the recipient.

Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn, unwashed items in original packaging. Approved returns are refunded to the original payment method. Store credit or exchange is also available if you prefer. Return shipping is paid by the customer, and prior approval is required.
